Working Together to Create an Action Plan for Recreational Access in Monmouthshire’s Wye Valley

The Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Unit are working on a new strategy and action plan, to help provide the best experience for all those that enjoy the tracks and trails in the Monmouthshire part of the Wye Valley AONB. The aim of the work is to develop the most practical ways of supporting the requirements of all types of users, while protecting the natural and built environment for current and future generations.

As part of the initiative we are carrying out a public consultation to ensure the views of stakeholders, local residents, users of and visitors to the tracks and trails of the Wye Valley AONB in Monmouthshire are taken into consideration when developing the strategy and action plan.

The public consultation runs from 1 November 2023 to 12 January 2024.

There are multiple ways to take part in the consultation:
