The programme funds activities across the Welsh Government’s Sustainable Land Management (SLM) objectives, with a focus on projects which meet SLM Objective 3 ‘To maintain and enhance the resilience of ecosystems and the benefit they provide’ including:
This is a farmer-led scheme and we welcome all ideas for improving habitats and nurturing wildlife. The above are examples and not a comprehensive list.
Farmers and landowners within the Welsh section of the Wye Valley National Landscape apply directly to the Wye Valley National Landscape Team. Our Ffermio Bro Officer will work with you to develop applications and support you through the process. The The National Landscape Team or Local Assessment Panel will award funding for activities that reflect local needs.

Applications will be scored and assessed by the National Landscape Team (under £10,000) or the Local Assessment Panel (larger than £10,000 or more complex lower value projects)
Following assessment Grant Offers will be made for work to be completed before the end of the Financial Year 2025/26.
