* Grid references can be obtained from Google Maps, OS Map App, or Grid Reference Finder website. ** What3Words is a downloadable app and provides an accurate 3 metre X 3 metre square of the location.
Please upload two photos minimum of the plant in situ with one close up of leaves and one of the whole plant/clump if possible.
Thank you for your report – this will help us to improve our understanding of the spread of Invasive Non-Native Species around the lower Wye Valley, helping us to target our resources most effectively. All records are added to our INNS mapping system which enables us to monitor how effective our control work is locally.
If you are reporting INNS along a road or in a public park, then please also report this to your local council – they all have an invasive species reporting page. You can also submit your reports via the iRecord app, which filters through to the appropriate organisation e.g. Natural Resources Wales.
Your contact details will remain confidential and will never be passed to a third party. We do share the grid references and species information with the Local Environment Record Centres e.g. South East Wales Biological Record Centre (SEWBReC) and also the NBN Wales INNS Portal. Feeding into these centralised record centres will ensure that the Wye Valley AONB is considered when funding decisions are made for future INNS programmes.
